Oberschutze
Oberschutze (“Private” in german army) started as a school program for exploring the complete process for creating a 3D character, from modelling, texturing, shading, lighting and rendering. The choice of a german soldier came from a game I use to play ( W:ET ). After searching for references I started to model the basic infantry equipment of a WW2 German Soldier. Was a great challenge to complete it with texturing and shading part. I have chosen a pose that is not the tipical “point and shoot” (like I call them) or the “weapon on shoulder” positions because i wanted to give a more dynamic look to it and took inspiration from soldiers’ photos in action.
